How to Paint a Bed Frame

 

Disassemble Use tools to dismantle the bed frame into headboard, footboard, and side rails, keeping screws organized.

 

Clean Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent to remove dirt and grime.

 

Sand Use medium-grit sandpaper to smooth surfaces and remove old finish, focusing on corners and details.

 

Protect Cover your workspace with a drop cloth and use painter's tape to mask off areas like hardware

 

Prime Apply a suitable primer evenly using a brush or roller, ensuring good coverage. Allow to dry completely

 

Paint Stir paint thoroughly and apply the first coat evenly with a brush or roller. Let it dry completely.

 

Apply Additional Coats Repeat with 2-3 thin coats, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly between applications.

 

  Reassemble Once the final coat is dry, carefully remove painter's tape and reassemble the bed frame, securing all parts tightly.
